An Exercise Science Geek and Former Competitive Athlete
I played tennis competitively from ages 6 to 22, competing nationally and internationally. While I loved the sport, I knew it wouldn't be my ultimate profession. Initially, I planned to become a sports medicine doctor and earned my undergraduate degree in exercise science. However, after taking a few law courses, I fell in love with the legal way of thinking and pivoted to become a lawyer.
From Lawyer to Boutique Fitness Pioneer
Fitness has always been part of my life—I embraced running and strength training early on to enhance my tennis performance. But once I became a lawyer, time became a scarce resource. Group fitness classes became my lifeline: an efficient way to recharge, switch off from work, boost my energy, diffuse stress, and connect with a community outside the office.
In 2015, after over a decade practicing litigation and arbitration law in Sydney and Dubai, I opened my first boutique fitness studio. It went on to win regional awards and gain international recognition from CNN and BBC. Chisel N Stride is my second studio—built on everything I learned as both an athlete and a corporate professional
Why I Created Chisel N Stride for Dubai Corporate Professionals
Having spent over a decade in high-pressure legal environments, I understand the demands of corporate life. Some days you're energized; other days, not so much. That's why I designed Chisel N Stride to offer a combination of both high intensity and low intensity classes so you can move consistently, no matter how you're feeling.
As a former athlete, I believe in training with intensity and diversifying movement patterns to build well-rounded fitness. I also believe that healthy pressure brings out focus and peak performance. That's why, during Dubai's winter season, we take our training outdoors—hiking in the mountains and competing in local running races.
Experience and Qualifications
As an athlete, I was trained to always push harder—even if that meant ignoring my body's signals. But in 2020, I underwent major spinal surgery, and that experience completely shifted my perspective on fitness. Pilates, walking, hiking, strength training, and mobility work became the disciplines that brought me back to full strength. That's why the Chisel N Stride motto is Sweat | Strength | Stretch.
I use a science-backed approach in every class and personal training session. With over 10 years of coaching experience, I bring both athletic insight and scientific rigor to help you reach your goals safely and effectively.
